Who we are

A trading house built around Omani supply.

Zood Trading and Oil SPC is the Omani arm of a family petroleum and gas trading group operating out of the UAE. We buy refined petroleum products and nitrogen fertilisers at source, arrange inspection and freight, and deliver against firm contracts to buyers across the Gulf, East Africa and South Asia.

On the fertiliser side we are an appointed distributor for Oman India Fertiliser Company (OMIFCO), the ammonia and granular urea producer at Sur — a joint venture between OQ, the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) and Krishak Bharati Cooperative (KRIBHCO).

The Sultanate gives us something most traders quote at second hand: direct access to production at Sur and Sohar, deepwater berths at Duqm, and a location outside the Strait of Hormuz. That shortens our chain and removes a layer of cost from every cargo.

What we trade

Two supply lines, one desk.

Refined petroleum products

Clean and dirty products lifted from Omani refining and storage, offered on FOB or delivered terms with quality certified at the load port.

  • Gasoil EN 590, 10 ppm / 500 ppm
  • Fuel oil 180 CST & 380 CST
  • Base oil SN 150, SN 500
  • Bitumen 60/70 and 80/100, bulk or drummed

Fertilisers & petrochemicals

We are an appointed distributor for Oman India Fertiliser Company (OMIFCO), the ammonia and granular urea producer at the Sur Industrial Estate. Supplied in bulk vessel lots or bagged.

  • Granular urea, 46% nitrogen
  • Anhydrous ammonia
  • Granular sulphur
  • Bulk, 50 kg bags or jumbo bags
  • Vessel or container shipment

Freight & delivery

We charter and book against the cargo rather than leaving it to the buyer, so a single counterparty carries the goods from load port to discharge.

  • Vessel chartering and part cargoes
  • Container and breakbulk booking
  • Customs and port documentation
  • Cargo insurance arranged on request

How we trade

Every cargo runs the same six steps.

No cargo moves before the step ahead of it is closed. That is deliberate — it is what keeps a trade from unwinding halfway through.

Enquiry

You send product, quantity, specification and destination. We confirm what is available and when.

Firm offer

A written offer with price basis, laycan, tolerance and payment terms. Valid for a stated period.

Contract

Sales contract signed, then payment instrument opened — letter of credit or agreed alternative.

Inspection

Independent surveyor draws and certifies quantity and quality at the load port before loading.

Loading

Cargo loaded, documents issued: bill of lading, certificates of origin, quality and quantity.

Delivery

Vessel sails, documents presented, discharge coordinated with your agent at the receiving port.

Why buyers work with us

Fewer intermediaries between you and the tank.

Appointed distributor

We hold a distributor appointment with Oman India Fertiliser Company (OMIFCO) — a joint venture of OQ, IFFCO and KRIBHCO producing ammonia and granular urea at Sur.

Source-side buying

We contract at production and storage in Oman rather than reselling another trader's paper, which is where most of the margin stacking happens.

Outside the Strait

Duqm and Salalah sit on open ocean. Cargoes lift without transiting Hormuz, which matters for both freight rates and war-risk premium.

Inspection as standard

Third-party quality and quantity certification is written into the contract, not offered as an extra. You know what loaded before it sails.

One counterparty

Product, freight and documents sit with a single desk. When something needs resolving mid-voyage there is one number to call.
